Your First Visit
Plan for approximately 60-90 minutes. We'll perform a comprehensive exam, take digital X-rays, and discuss your dental health goals.

What your first visit actually includes
The $99 new-patient visit is a complete exam, not a screening. Dr. Hakobyan reviews your medical and dental history, takes a full set of digital X-rays (about 80% less radiation than film), checks every tooth and existing filling or crown, measures your gums for periodontal health, screens for oral cancer, and then does the cleaning himself or with our hygienist. You leave with a written summary of what we found and what, if anything, we recommend — with prices.
If you have not been to a dentist in years, that is normal here and nobody will lecture you. About a third of our new patients come in after a long gap, often because of one tooth that finally started hurting. We treat the urgent thing first, then build a plan you can afford in the order that matters.
If you are anxious, say so when you book. We schedule extra time, explain each step before it happens, and offer nitrous oxide for longer procedures. Most patients who were nervous at the first visit are not at the second.
Insurance we work with
We are in-network or accept assignment with most PPO plans, including Delta Dental, Cigna, Aetna, MetLife, Guardian, Anthem Blue Cross, United Healthcare and Principal. We verify your benefits before the visit and tell you the out-of-pocket amount up front. We do not accept HMO or Medi-Cal plans.
No insurance? The $99 visit is the same visit at the same price, and our in-house membership plan covers two cleanings, exams and X-rays a year plus a discount on treatment. Details on the insurance & financing page.
